NineWays is a small independent product. There is no support queue and no chatbot. Your message reaches a real person who built the app, and we answer everything we receive.

Common questions

I lost access to my account / forgot my password

From the login screen, tap Forgot password?. We will send a reset link to the email on your account. The link is valid for 30 minutes.

If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. If it is still missing, write to from the email address on your account and we will help you recover access.

I cannot connect with my partner

Make sure both of you have completed onboarding (including the personality test) and that the partner who received the invite code is signed in to their own account.

Invite codes are case-sensitive and time-limited. If the code has expired, generate a fresh one from the Partner tab and send it again.

If both of you are on the latest app version and still cannot connect, write to us with both your account emails and we will look into it.

I bought Premium but my partner does not have access

NineWays uses a per-couple shared subscription. One purchase unlocks Premium for both linked partners. After your purchase completes, your partner may need to:

  • Be on the latest app version
  • Pull-to-refresh on the Today screen, or fully close and reopen the app

If after that they still see the paywall, the partnership connection may not be active. Verify in the Partner tab that you are connected, then write to us with both account emails if the issue persists.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel:

  • Open Settings on your iPhone
  • Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
  • Find NineWays → Cancel Subscription

Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period. You keep Premium access until the period ends, then automatically move to the free tier. Your account and history are preserved either way.

For refund requests, Apple handles those at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Repair Mode is not generating a response, or the response feels off

Repair Mode uses an AI model to generate guidance based on the trigger description, both first names, and both Enneagram types. Two things to check:

  • Network: AI generation needs an active connection. Try toggling airplane mode on/off, or switching between Wi-Fi and cellular.
  • Trigger description: more specific input usually produces better output. Instead of "we had a fight," try "she wanted to talk about money tonight and I shut down."

AI is not perfect. Some outputs will be more useful than others. If a response feels actively wrong or unsafe, please write to us with the trigger you used and we will look into it. Repair Mode is a guided self-help tool, not therapy. If you are dealing with abuse, addiction, or a mental health crisis, please see a qualified professional.

I want to delete my account and all my data

From inside the app: Profile → Delete Account. This removes your account and all your personal data within 30 days. If you are connected to a partner, your partnership ends at deletion but your partner's account remains intact.

If you cannot access the app to delete from there, email from the address on your account and we will process the deletion manually.

Something is broken: the app crashes or behaves strangely

First-line fixes that resolve most issues:

  • Force-close the app (swipe up from the bottom and flick NineWays away)
  • Update to the latest version in the App Store
  • Restart your device

If it still misbehaves, write to us with what you were doing when the issue happened, your iOS version and device model, and a screenshot if you have one. We use the report to find and fix the bug.

I have feedback or a feature suggestion

We read every message. NineWays is built by a small team and feature priorities are shaped by what real couples tell us they want. If a feature suggestion lands, we will reply and tell you. If we cannot build it, we will tell you that too.

Write to with the subject line starting with "Feedback:" so we can route it correctly.
